Yeast Barcode Array ConsortiumDESCRIPTION
Barcode Consortium site provides resources for research using the yeast barcode arrays, including information on how to acquire the chipsPARSED CONTENT
The web site had the following on the homepage, "Historical backgroud about the consortium." We noticed that the web site said " Jef Boekes lab, in collaboration with others, had developed a methodology for large scale synthetic lethality analysis, called SLAM Synthetic Lethality Analysis by Microarray." It also said " This technique took advantage of the unique barcodes or tags that identify each mutant strain in the yeast knockout collection by profiling pools of mutant strains with microarrays whose design is based on these unique barcodes." The header had functional genomics as the highest ranking optimized keyword. This keyword is followed by microarrays, gene chips, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae which isn't as urgent as functional genomics. The other words barcode.princeton.edu uses is yeast. barcode is included and could not be seen by search parsers.
